The new facility, known as the Dallas Market, is slated to open in late 2018 and will have an estimated $5 billion price tag.
In addition to its retail and entertainment facilities, the Dallas market is also slated to create thousands of jobs in the area.
Here are a few of the new tenants expected to be opening this year.

The lottery is expected do between 50 and 75 percent of the business in the Dallas markets.
The price tag of the Dallas-Fort Worth market is estimated to be around $15 billion.
It is expected that the Texas Lotteries office in the market will employ about 500 people.
The first two floors will be devoted to food trucks and restaurants with a capacity of 40,000 to 50,000 people.
There are plans for a third floor, which is slated for completion in late 2019.
The fourth floor will include retail, entertainment, and leisure facilities for entertainment, education, and research.
There is also a parking lot and an office building for the Texas lottery office.
The building will also have space for “event spaces.”
It is projected that the first two levels of the building will be reserved for events like weddings, music festivals, and sporting events.

A full-fledged food truck is also expected to begin operating at the new Dallas market in late 2017.
The full-scale food truck that will be on site is expected by early 2019.
It was announced last year that the market has received a $15 million federal grant.
The Food Truck Commission, which was created to oversee the operation of the market, has awarded the grant to the Dallas Food Truck Association.
The food truck commission will be responsible for providing food and beverage vendors with food truck and other food vendors with a place to operate in the Texas market.
The license to operate the market is expected give the city more control over food trucks.
The city of Dallas has received $6.4 million from the federal government to fund the project, which has received more than $6 million in state and federal money.
The project is expected cost around $40 million.
The City of Dallas is expected, with its approval from the Food Truck Council, to begin the process of moving food trucks from the Market District into the new Market Center in late September.
The location of the project has yet to be determined.
In March 2018, the City of Fort Worth also approved a $2 million grant for the construction of a food truck facility on the city’s south side.
The funding will allow the Fort Worth City Council to approve a request for application for a food trucks facility on city-owned property, which includes an alley that runs through the south side of the city, a small parking garage at the corner of North and North Main streets, and a parking garage near the new City Hall.
The site is slated at the intersection of North Main and North Fort Street.
Construction of the food truck operation will begin this fall.
Construction on the facility will include the installation of two trucks and an outdoor patio.
The facility will be open to the public during daylight hours.
The proposed project is located at a site near the intersection where the first phase of the existing Market District Market Square is located
