alberton’s market in the East Village has been a go-to for the past five years.
The New York-based grocer is a major player in New York City and the area around it.
And for the first time, its new Green Street store is attracting customers of all ages, colors and ethnicities.
“The store is designed to attract people of all backgrounds and from all walks of life,” Albertson’s CEO, Daniel Rupprecht, said in a statement.
“It’s not just for the elderly, it’s also for kids, families and seniors.
It’s also geared toward those in the food service industry, but also those who work in the retail and hospitality industry.”
Albertsos grocery store has been an anchor in the market for five years, with customers of many ethnicities, ages and backgrounds coming to shop.
It opened in 2013, and in 2016, Albertionsons Market, as the store is known, became a permanent fixture in East Village.
According to Rupprescht, the new Green street store is “a big win for our community.”
“The new Green has a more upscale feel and a more inviting feel, and we wanted to bring our customers a taste of New York’s great dining scene,” he said.
Albertersons Green Street grocery store is located at 631 West 60th Street in New Jersey, on the Upper East Side.
“Our community is changing,” Ruppregt said.
“We are seeing more and more people moving to New York.
We are seeing people coming to the area because of their lifestyle.
We wanted to make sure our customers have an opportunity to come here.”
The Green Street stores are being built in partnership with the New York Department of Consumer Affairs, and are slated to open this summer.
In the meantime, the Alberterson’s market has also been a hit with the community.
“We have had over 100,000 visits in our first two months,” Ruprecht said.
“The fact that we are bringing our customers here is a great win for the community, for our employees and for the entire community.”
